Boys League (Grades 1st-8th) Designed for the new and experienced player. Generally, teams practice twice per week then play a game on the weekend. There are 8 games; 4 at home and 4 away at other schools in the area. Practices begin in March. Youth lacrosse plays under modified rules prohibiting body checking. Parents Code of Conduct Middle Country Lacrosse has established the following guidelines that parents, whether they are coaches, volunteers or spectators, shall adhere to: * Be positive role models, on and off the lacrosse field, showing respect and courtesy for all. * Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials. * Never encourage any negative behavior such as booing, taunting, profane language or gestures, towards any players, coaches, officials, visitors, or spectators. * Inform the coach of a child?s physical ailments or disabilities that may affect the safety of that child or that of any others. * Encourage children to do their best, try hard, compete fairly, and most importantly, to have FUN. * Respect officials and their authority during games. |
